I wanted to post another helpful document on the Health Information Technology (HIT) provisions in the ARRA, from the American Medical Association (AMA):

This document helps to understand the potential bonus payments (and penalties for non-compliance) in the ARRA, according to year.

A slightly different set of schedules has been posted by Chilmark, which breaks reimbursement down by Medicare and Medicaid:

Each of these gives a little different perspective on the dollars available as part of the ARRA, although the document from the AMA is a bit more comprehensive, including a narrative of the variables associated with the bonus payments.

If you have difficulty wading through the original text of the ARRA and making sense of it all, these documents will give you a good overview of the potential savings for physicians and the associated timelines.
